{Outreach} Food Web Lesson at Mullen Hall!

I was lucky enough to join Grace Simpkins at one of the NOEPS outreach lessons at Mullen Hall where students learned about the work we do here at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center! The third graders learned about food webs and created a sample food web with strings connecting each other, they touched a real sperm whale rib, and they conducted a sampling experiment with differing foraging strategies as odontocetes and mysticetes.
